SURFACE PREPARATION
Any working surfaces, either new or old, ceramic tiles or normal tiles, etc, shall be grinded by specialized grinding machines before applying waterproofing layers with Neomax® 201. Then use a blower or vacuum cleaner to make the surface completely clean. Do not use water to clean the working surface;
Carefully check the working surface after grinding. Any damages must be repaired by dedicated mortar or the mixture of Neomax® Primer P11 and cement with the ratio of 1:1;
Check the moisture content of the working surface to ensure the maximum moisture value less than 8%.
MIXING METHOD
Mixing ratio of A : B = 3 : 1 (by weight);
Open the bucket of component A, use an electric mixer to stir component A thoroughly in 2 - 3 minutes. Then pour all component B into the bucket of component A while keeping stirring thoroughly in 2 - 3 minutes to get a homogeneous mixture;
Note: During mixing time, keep the mixer arms deep into the mixture to prevent any unnecessary airflow.
WORKING
After mixing Neomax® 201, with the support of a dedicated blade, immediately apply the mixture on the working surface which is already coated with a primer layer of Neomax® Primer P11. Please refer to the updated TDS of Neomax® Primer P11 for more information and instruction;
Use spiked roller to break all air bubbles;
Apply only one layer of the approved thickness;
Theoretical consumption: 1.3 kg/m2 for a primer layer of 1mm thick;
For outdoor sites, it is advisable to apply a protective topcoat layer of Neomax® Topcoat T14 which will deliver a great aesthetics, incredible anti-abrasion properties and perfect durability under any weather conditions. Please refer to the updated TDS of Neomax® Topcoat T14 for more information and instruction;
In case Neomax® 201 is covered with a screed layer or ceramic tiles, fully saturate with oven-dry silica sand (corn-size of 0.4-0.8mm) after applying Neomax® 201 for 60-90 minutes. This will help to increase roughness for better connection adhesion with other upper layers.
NOTE
Total working time shall not exceed 30 minutes (depending on the ambient temperature);
Only working in the dry and convenient weather conditions;
It is possible to use less than 50-100ml of Neomax® Thinner 201 solvent to wash the Component B then pouring into bucket A for mixing.
