DESCRIPTION
Neomax® Mortar C40 is a type of two component repair mortar used for concrete surface. This is a combination of component A which is in powder form, synthesized from cement, mineral aggregates and special additives and component B which is in liquid form and synthesized from modified polymer.
USED
To repair and fix different concrete structures such as: honeycombed floors, walls, and ceiling due to improper construction processes, mechanical impacts and abrasion, or due to water invasion;
To repair and recreate flatness for uneven horizontal or vertical surfaces due to improper construction processes;
To repair concrete surfaces to improve such abilities as water-proofing, anti-corrosion, anti-abrasion, and resistance to oils, chemicals and sewage.
ADVANTAGES
Easy to use;
High and quickly-improved strength, its compressive strength at 28 days of age is ≥40 Mpa;
Incredible adhesion on concrete and steel substrates;
Fully compatible with the expansion of concrete and steel substrates;
Improve such abilities as waterproofing, anti-corrosion, anti-abrasion, oil resistance, chemical resistance and waste for surface to be repaired.

Flexural strength (ASTM C348):
- 28 days: ≥ 7 MPa.
Adhesion strength on M30 concrete substrates (ASTM D4541):
- 28 days: ≥ 1 MPa.
Notes: All above technical properties are tested in the standard experiment conditions with temperature of 25oC and moisture of 50%.
SURFACE PREPARATION
All working concrete surfaces must be completely clean and free from dust, grease and impurities;
All weak mortar layers (if any) must be removed;
The water-absorbing surface needs to be saturated but no more excessive water trapped.
MIXING METHOD
Use an electric mixer at speeds of 400 - 600 rounds/minute to mix the product;
Pour all component B in the mixing bucket, then slowly adding component A while keeping stirring thoroughly until we get a homogeneous mixture. The minimum mixing time is 5 minutes.
WORKING
Use the mortar mixture right after finishing the mixing work with plastering hawks or steel trowels;
Total allowed working time is 20 - 30 minutes at the temperature of 25 ± 2°C;
In case the depth of repaired location is more than 10mm, it is advisable to apply more than 1 layer, whose maximum thickness is no more than 10mm. The following layer should only be applied after the current one is dry and rough.
CURING
Finished product must be maintained properly as other cement-based products. Apply all reasonable measures to minimize any type of water loss due to evaporation by such available materials as wet bags, plastic coverage materials or other suitable maintenance mixtures.
